Njambi McGrath is a Kenyan born stand-up comedian on the UK comedy circuit. She was voted 1 of 5 top female comedians to watch by Fabulous Magazine in 2012 and later that year was nominated for Best Newcomer at the Black Comedy Awards. She has been described as ‘blazing the trail for black comedians’ by The Guardian. Njambi was shortlisted for the BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award numerous times. She is a rising star who has already attracted a lot media attention with profiles in the Scotsman on Sunday, The Guardian, The Daily Nation (Kenya) Destination Magazine (Kenya) and Nigerian press. Njambi was recently featured on the BBC Radio 4 Saturday Live alongside David Mitchel and Amanda Holden, BBC World The Conversation, amongst notable women of the world. Her stand up has been featured on BBC 2/3/4 Extra. She has been a participant on ITV, STV, Sky News and Arise TV. Njambi is a contributor to the GlamAfrica magazine.
Njambi was born in Kenya and received her early education there. She attained a degree in London and New York. She has a diploma in high education.  She is fluent in 3 languages English, Swahili and Gikuyu.
Njambi has written and performed 3 one woman shows at the Edinburgh festival and Durban Playhouse Theatre to critical acclaim
