Peter Grigg

Director of External Affairs, The Children’s Society

Peter Grigg is Director of External Affairs at The Children’s Society, building on over ten years’ experience in charities and the public sector.

Peter has worked in the children’s sector since 2011 as Director of Policy, Research and Communications at the Family and Childcare Trust – formed from a merger of the Family and Parenting Institute and the Daycare Trust.

Prior to this, Peter headed up policy and research functions for campaigns to inspire young entrepreneurs and global entrepreneurship, worked in education and further education policy, and was a researcher for Lord Philip Gould.

A dedicated policy campaigner, Peter is committed to tackling neglect and enhancing opportunity for young people and children. Peter’s volunteer roles include sitting on a Community First Panel allocating grants to local community groups and supporting a campaign against library closures. He has a degree in Social Policy and Government from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
