Polly Walker

Polly's background is in children's education. Originally training as a primary school teacher she made the transition to specialising in Special Educational Needs - specifically teaching children and young people that were permanently excluded from mainstream school, many exhibiting complex behavioural and emotional difficulties. Most recently Polly led a team of Primary Behaviour Support Specialists whilst also training to become an accredited mediator.

Her experience of working within conflict situations and with disadvantaged children underpins Polly’s passion for matters of social inclusion and led her to produce a children’s storybook that focuses on identity and self-esteem. Published in September 2014, "Worm, Slug, Maggot and Leech and their Troublesome Transformation!” is already proving to be a hit in schools and homes alike.

Polly continues to practice as a mediator, resolving conflict and disputes within the workplace, community and educational settings.
