Professor Emma Tarlo has conducted long-term anthropological fieldwork in India and Britain. She has a specialist interest in the anthropology of dress, material culture and urban anthropology and has published widely in these fields.
She is a professor of anthropology at Goldsmiths, University of London and author of Entanglement: The Secret Lives of Hair (Oneworld 2016).
