The truth is the huge void in the understanding of nutrition and health is an economic problem. This means fundamentally that the financially advantaged tend to be better educated on healthy eating and have more access to personal trainers and nutritionists to help them. However that does not mean that the resolve to follow a healthy diet and exercise plan can be bought and paid for-that's down to you and it always has been.

Fats in meat and eggs are best for dissolving fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K which are used for keeping skin firm and preventing wrinkles, maintaining eyesight, sunlight tolerance good, lubricating joints and control blood clotting systems. Vegetarians are often deficient in the fat-soluble vitamins I have listed above. Conclusion, humans are meant to be omnivorous.

Can't Weight for Xmas?

A better plan then, may be what I encourage all of my training clients to do and that is lose some weight in anticipation that you may 'overeat' a little. That way you could enjoy some of what you fancy over the holidays and come through the whole experience weighing what you normally do.

Obesity May Not Be a Disease But It's Certainly the Results of Vice

No civilized society would tolerate a parent giving its child drugs or cigarettes or alcohol so really what's the difference? However, like drugs every mouthful of this synthetic rubbish people are fooled into thinking is food, contains a handful of chemicals that are at best going to raise 'bad' cholesterol levels, increase diabetes risk, lower immunity, and damage DNA.

There's a new body image disorder in town and this one's for men. It's called "bigorexia," it refers to a victim's compulsive need to bulk up, no matter how fit and muscular he is.
