Ros Altmann

Director-General, Saga

Ros Altmann is Director-General of Saga, the over 50s specialists. She is an economist by training and an investment banker by profession. She has worked, for many years, as an independent policy adviser on pension issues, including advising the Treasury and the Number 10 Policy Unit on investment and pensions reform.

She is a non-executive of the Court Funds Office Investment Board and a Governor of the London School of Economics, and the Pensions Policy Institute.

Ros was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the University of Westminster in recognition of her contribution to Pension Investment and policy. She has a PhD. in Economics from L.S.E. and was a Kennedy Scholar at Harvard.

Ros is a frequent media commentator on pensions, savings and care issues.
