Sarah Flannigan

Chief Information Officer, EDF Energy

Sarah Flannigan joined EDF Energy as Chief Information Officer in November 2016. She is helping to raise awareness of the company’s Pretty Curious campaign, which aims to encourage young girls to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects at GCSE-Level and keep the door open to a range of exciting career opportunities in these industries.

Before working at EDF Energy, Sarah spent six years as the Chief Information Officer at the National Trust, considered to be the one the largest charity organisations in the world. During her tenure she led a major digital, customer loyalty and internal efficiency transformation programme.

Prior to the National Trust her varied career included roles in Global Customer Operations, Sales and Marketing in financial services, manufacturing and telecommunication. She is also a non-executive Board Trustee at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and a member of the Board of Governors at Wells Cathedral School, a specialist music school.
