Sarah McCarthy is a 21-year-old feminist and political activist from Galway, Ireland. She is currently living in London to do a couple of Human Rights internships. A student of History, Politics, and Sociology, she spends most of her time campaigning on issues such as decriminalising abortion in Ireland, educational access in the face of austerity cuts and privatisation, and fighting the current treatment of asylum seekers and refugees. She is a founding member and occasional spokesperson for Galway Pro-Choice. She is also a co-founder and contributor to the Irish Student Left Online, and her personal blog is here.
