Selby Xinwa

Community Researcher at the Centre for The Study of Violence and Reconciliation

Selby Xinwa is an Educationist by training from the University of Witwatersrand with a postgraduate, specialising in Policy, Management and Governance. He has over 15 years working in the field either as Project Manager, Community Practitioner, Policy and Researcher. Some of his professional work including but not limited to: Participating in the committee of Further Education and Training which resulted in the promulgation of Further Education and Training Act of 1998. During this period, he was assigned responsibilities for coordinating the reconfiguration of Technical Colleges in the Eastern Cape and Limpopo Provinces respectively. Selby was also part of the research team that chronicle the history of the Free State province for the African National Congress in the province as part of its centenary celebrations. He is currently a Community Researcher at the Centre for The Study of Violence and Reconciliation (CSVR).
