A regular on TV and radio, Simon Thompson is an established film and entertainment journalist, broadcaster and TV producer. 5 News' âGo-Toâ film guy, he has worked for, with, and alongside, some of the biggest brands in the industry including the BBC, Bloomberg TV, ITN, Sky, The Sun, Yahoo!, MSN, Empire magazine, London Evening Standard, The Independent, Entertainment Weekly, Capital Radio and was Showbiz Editor for Global Radio's Heart brand - the largest commercial radio brand in the UK. Simon also launched and was the Entertainment Producer for UK TV network London Live producing a nightly, live prime time entertainment show. He also wrote, produced and presented the daily movie show, Inside Hollywood, for Channel 5 and 5USA. As a critic his reviews have featured on national press campaigns for many major movies as well as in text books for use in colleges and schools. Simon has interviewed the biggest names in the industry from Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt to Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino. Simon lives in London with his wife and dog but will be relocating to Los Angeles in October 2015.
You also don't have to watch it if you don't want to. You could just avoid it. Personally, and being a geek, even if it turns out to be a stinker I still like to see the new version so I can compare them and look and see what they kept in and what they changed.

I'm a fan of horror, I consider myself to be pretty liberal and I would consider myself a supporter of free speech and free expression but I also think there comes a time when a line has to be drawn and we have say that something is not okay.

Every generation has a sci-fi film that defines it, a game changer. 2013 sees <em>Gravity</em> hitting cinemas and this doesn't just change the game but win the game, start another one and win that too. <em>Gravity</em> is nothing short of a revelation and THIS is what cinema is all about.

Jake Gyllenhaal dresses well and he's good looking. He's also funny. He's also, having met and interviewed him a few times, nice and polite too. That's clearly a sign that he could be gay, right? Being a nice guy who dresses well? He might also smell great too, I don't know.

I'll never forget the time I interviewed Sir David Frost. As far as beacons of world class journalism go, America had Walter Cronkite and we had Sir David. And then they had Sir David too.

As much as I'm sure we'd all like to know, ultimately, it's none of our business. When we get down the nitty-gritty, and if we're really honest with ourselves, we're just being nosey... even if we're being well-meaning. Jennifer's a lovely woman, I'm sure she'd make a great mum but... it's also, ultimately, still none of our damn business.
