Sir Graham Watson MEP is the Liberal Democrat MEP for the South West of England and Gibraltar. He is President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) Party and was the leader of the ALDE group in the European Parliament from 2002 to 2009. From July 1999 to 2002 he served as Chairman of the Committee on Citizens' Freedoms and Rights, Justice and Home Affairs. He is the Chairman of the Climate Parliament, a global network of MPs and MEPs that work together on renewable energy and climate change. He was awarded a Knighthood in June 2011.
