Sofia Mahmood founded Empowering Minds (http://empoweringminds.co.uk/) in 2015; a consultancy offering a wide range of services through workshops, conferences and training programmes across the UK. Raised and educated in Bradford, she specialises in counter-extremism, community engagement, citizenship and identity, and child sexual exploitation. Recently she ran the 'Mothers Against Radicalisation & Grooming' programme, and has worked closely with the National Policing Improvement Agency to develop tools to combat violent extremism.
