Freelance copywriter, feature article writer and author

I am an accomplished feature article writer. My work has appeared in a number of magazines and journals including the Nursing Standard, Scholastic, Dorset Life and Somerset Life (Archant Press) and my work appears regularly in Savista, an online magazine.

I cover a broad cross section of subjects from Parnham House in Dorset to the history of the Somerset cider industry and from the changes in our education system to the return of corporal punishmet. Many of the articles are my own ideas that are always welcomed by editors.

Additionally, I write a monthly feature that appears on my website each month.

I have an established client base for whom I write newsletters and other company literature.

Through my website, I have been commissioned to write various items including a wedding poem and website content.

Alongside my copywriting, in May 2012 I decided to take the bull by the horns and self published my first children's book called The Adventures of Charlie. A book of four short stories that is suitable for the 4-8 year old child. This has met with great success and I am taking part in several 'readings' at events across Somerset and Dorset.

I am a member of the Society of Authors and see my reading events as valuable support for their drive to improve literacy and reading skills amongst children.
