Stephanie Goward

reader, writer and shower-singer

As an ever-curious, information omnivore, her inquisitive nature has led her by the nose through life, to live between Glasgow, Temuco and Cardiff. She is an inveterate reader, pouring over everything from the sides of cereal boxes with her breakfast to books at bedtime, looking for things that she does't understand, and asking questions until she does.

She began thinking seriously about journalism while living and working in Chile, where she set up a small school newspaper, whilst becoming fluent in Spanish. Since then, she has worked on her degree in Journalism and Sociology at Cardiff University, where she wrote for her student newspaper. Additionally, she has worked in the newsroom of The Big Issue Glasgow, carried out research for The Times and been shortlisted for the Student Human Rights Reporter at the Amnesty International Media Awards.

She is at her most content when outside, with her nose in a book, floating around a festival, or sipping tea and chewing the fat with friends.
