Stephanie Hirst is an award winning radio DJ, TV presenter, broadcaster and an icon of the UK transgender community. She announced her transition to female, her true gender, on Stephen Nolan’s 5Live show in 2014 (an episode that went on to become the most downloaded news podcast on 5Live ever).
Stephanie then took some time out of the spotlight to transition privately. In July 2015, she returned to broadcasting, this time signing a deal with the BBC for her own show ‘Nothing but the 90’s’ on BBC Manchester and becoming a member of the ITV Lorraine family, hosting the year long ‘Change One Thing’ campaign.
