Steven Fielding

Professor of Political History at the University of Nottingham

I am Professor of Political History in the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Nottingham where I am also Director of the Centre for British Politics.

I have written widely on British politics and recent political history; and have edited Parliamentary Affairs since 2006.

My particular expertise lies in the politics of the Labour party as well as the fictional representation of politics in the UK but also in the US - and I am currently working on Fictional Politics: Representing British Politics on Screen, Stage and Page since 1900 for Bloomsbury.

I have blogged for the BBC, Guardian and Liberal Conspiracy as well as my own School blog.
