Thaslima studied International Politics at Brunel University and Strategic Marketing at Imperial College London. She is a freelance journalist and has written for The Independent, BBC and War Child.

She is passionate about social justice and has been involved in campaigns around environmentalism, gender equality and homelessness.

Thaslima currently works for the British Standards Institution where she manages the marketing of the global training business. She is a member of The Hunger Project, a global, non-profit organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger through the adoption of grassroots, women-centered strategies.
