Yasmin Braddell

Having graduated from the University of Exeter with an English degree in July 2016, I have a place to return in September 2017 to undergo an MA in English Literary Studies. In the meantime, I am working as a part time au pair and searching for work experience in the editorial sector; my longterm ambition is to be writing for a fashion/lifestyle magazine. Whilst the "gap year" may not have been the original plan, I am taking time out of academia (a world I love and want to fully participate in) to focus on life and living.

Despite my love of words, mental health issues have left me dominated by numbers. I hope that this blog can play a part in challenging the illness that has worked to silence me.

Beyond academia and diagnosis, I'm a tea-enthusiast, bunting-lover, and believer in the power of dreams.
