Yetunde Adediran is a founder, mechanical engineer (formerly manufacturing engineering), as well as an educator - Her social enterprise experience using technology & design has led her to successfully create (formerly known as Open Engineering Solutions). OpenVirtualSTEM™ is a community science project aimed at reaching out to more young people interested in Science & Engineering, particularly young females. Yetunde has an engineering degree from Brunel University, and a Masters degree in Software Engineering from the University of Oxford. She is a member of the IET and a science and technology advocate. Since graduating, she has gained over 15-years technology experience working as a freelance software engineer for a number of corporate firms, including ICL (now Fujitsu), Vodafone, BT and Accenture. She is a pioneer, after being one of the first to work on a Bluetooth device, in 2001 at TDK in, north London. Yetunde has also written a number of science policy papers and contributed to the Westminster Higher Education forum. She is currently working on a programming book to highlight the lack of good quality books in education, that will assist younger people learning industry techniques.
