Zoe Mellis

Head of Sports Development at London Youth, managing the charity’s award winning sports development programme: Getting Ready

Zoe initially joined London Youth back in 2003 as Sports Officer for the Millennium Volunteer team and later became Head of Volunteering. She then worked for Sport England where she spent six months as a development manager for the London region. This gave her valuable experience in the sports delivery system in London and valuable partnerships were made. She then returned to London Youth to support the Getting Ready programme, and progressed to become Head of Sports Development.

Zoe has always harboured a keen interest in sport and spent her childhood, teenage years and early twenties on a tennis court. She represented Great Britain as a junior and then spent four years at the University of Georgia on a tennis scholarship. Zoe rarely graces the tennis court these days but still makes a regular appearance on the squash and racquetball court.
