This sometimes is the hardest step, talking to friends and family openly about your mental illness but by doing so you gather more support and that is always helpful when you're suffering from a mental health problem because you sharing the issue makes it easier to handle.

3. Seeking support from the psychologist or psychiatrist.

Sometimes it takes some professional help to support you on the road to recovery and seeing a NHS psychologist or psychiatrist can sometimes make things a lot easier.

The small steps are really important to take so if you're suffering from a mental health problem challenging you're thinking or maybe doing simple things like doing a hobby or going for a walk or having a cup of tea with a friend, all these things can make a huge difference and can help challenging the biggest steps in your mental illness recovery.

It also makes the more challenging steps easier and makes you stronger.
