Amy Schumer is doing what she does best on Instagram – showing the unfiltered reality of being a mum.
The 37-year-old comedian, who documented her pregnancy with hilarious Instagram snaps, isn’t stopping now she’s got a little human to look after.
Schumer shared a photo this weekend of her pumping milk, with the caption: “Guys, what are we doing tonight? #schumerpump #ootd.”
Fans of Schumer – both celeb and non-celeb – loved the Instagram post.
“Milk it,” wrote Selma Blair, while Lindsay Lohan commented: “You’re just so great!” And Debra Messing wrote: “That is genius!”
Other mums who know exactly what it’s like to pump told Schumer how pleased they were she was showing the reality of motherhood – even as a celeb.
“You’re truly awesome Amy, never change,” one mum wrote. “There’s that weird idea that celebrity mums don’t do all the mundane mum things that we all do, but you are just showing everyone else that you do!”
Another wrote: “Ha ha, I am doing this right now and it’s so nice to scroll through Instagram and see I am not the only mum. You may be earning the big bucks, but at the end of the day we are both mums providing for our babies!”
Other mums simply commented with clapping emojis or hearts to show their support.
Schumer isn’t the first celebrity mum to get praise for posting a breast pumping photo on Instagram – Rachel McAdams did the same just a few months ago.
