Ariana Grande Finally Receives Her Grammy, Five Months After Snubbing Ceremony

The singer was not in attendance at this year's Grammys, after a public falling out with its producers.

Ariana Grande has revealed she has finally received her Grammy award, five months after her very public row with producers.

Back in February, Ariana scooped her first ever Grammy, picking up Best Pop Vocal Album for her 2018 collection Sweetener.

However, the singer ultimately decided to snub the ceremony, after falling out with producers who she accused of “stifling her creativity” by putting too many limits around her scheduled performance.

On Monday night, Ariana posted a photo on her Instagram, revealing that five months down the line, she’d finally received the award in the post.

“Really glad i checked the mail,” she joked, along with a picture of herself holding the award.

Her manager, Scooter Braun, also posted a photo of Ariana and her award, along with a message of praise for the “icon”.

Despite not actually being at the Grammys this year, Ariana still made headlines on the night, after posting a photo of herself in the Cinderella-esque gown she would have worn on the red carpet.

She also followed along on social media, and raised eyebrows with a comment she made when Cardi B picked up Best Rap Album for her debut effort Invasion Of Privacy.

The singer tweeted (and quickly deleted) the word “trash”, which many perceived to be an intentional diss at Cardi B, who has been in a long-standing feud with Ariana’s friend Nicki Minaj.

However, she later clarified she’d actually aimed the comment at Grammys organisers, who invited her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller’s family to the ceremony, only for him to lose out on the posthumous honour to the Bodak Yellow rapper.
