Eurovision: Australia's Stunning Performance Serves Up Some Of The Best Memes Of 2019

"Australia is literally me trying to leave a club without bumping into the police outside."

We don’t think it would be an exaggeration to say that we don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like Australia’s Eurovision performance before.

Entrant Kate Miller-Heidke took to the stage during Saturday night’s 64th annual Song Contest to showcase song Zero Gravity.

Well, when we say she took to the stage, she actually didn’t.

That’s because Kate and her two back-up dancers were actually suspended 16ft above the stage on swaying poles as they sang.

The result was absolutely stunning, proving why they’d come to the final as one of the favourites to win the whole thing.

However, the incredible visual was not the best thing of the night - that honour goes to the online reaction to the performance, which has served up some of our favourite memes of 2019 so far...
