BBC Scotland News Broadcast Invaded By Giant Wasp

The clip is certainly causing a buzz.

BBC Reporting Scotland’s Monday morning broadcast gave viewers a fright this week when a giant wasp appeared to be buzzing around presenter Emma Cameron.

The bizarre illusion was caused by the insect poking around the lens of the camera on the roof of the show’s building at Pacific Quay, causing Cameron’s backdrop to momentarily feature what appeared to be a human-sized wasp.

The clip was shared by the show’s editor Andrew Browne, prompting Cameron to tweet “today has a real buzz about it for some reason...”.

And this isn’t even the first time ‘Reporting Scotland’ has been upstaged by a massive creepy-crawly. Back in 2014, the exact same thing happened with a spider.
