Beyoncé And Jay-Z's 'On The Run II' Tour Is Coming To The UK In June

🙌 🙌 🙌

After four years, two number one albums, one infidelity scandal, two new babies and an incident in a lift we never really did get to the bottom of, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have announced they’re going ‘On The Run’ again.

Yes, after much speculation about whether the royal couple of the music industry would be hitting the road together for a second time, Beyoncé officially confirmed the joint tour, imaginatively titled ‘On The Run II’ on Monday (12 March).

In true Beyoncé style, she isn’t giving fans a whole lot of notice, with tickets going on sale on Monday 19 March, ahead of four scheduled UK shows in June.

There’ll also be a pre-sale for (surprise, surprise) Tidal users beginning at 10am on Wednesday (14 March), with the streaming service encouraging those who are interested to sign up for a free trial now.

The ‘On The Run II’ tour will kick off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on 6 June, before hitting Glasgow’s Hampden Park on 9 June.

Four days later, the pair will arrive in Manchester for a show at the Etihad Stadium on 13 June, before their final UK date at London Stadium on 15 June.

From there, they’ll take the tour overseas to Europe, before some dates in North America in July and August.

Despite speculation to the contrary, the original ‘On The Run’ tour never came to the UK, with their only European shows being two nights at Paris’s Stade de France.

Since the original ‘On The Run’ tour, Beyoncé has topped the charts all over the world with her visual album, ‘Lemonade’, which dealt with themes of black womanhood, as well as describing a knock her marriage took due to an indiscretion from her husband, Jay-Z.

Last year, he released his first album in four years, ‘4:44’, which also dealt with societal issues, as well as the fall-out from the events described in Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ album.
