Big Brother's Ellis Hillon Breaks Silence To Apologise For Racist Tweet Scandal That Saw Her Removed

'I should never have said such horrible things.'

Shamed ‘Big Brother’ contestant Ellis Hillon has broken her silence after being removed from the house following the discovery of racist posts on her Twitter account.

The 20-year-old fast food worker was shown the door on Saturday, after it was uncovered she had used a number of racial slurs on the social networking site.

Ellis has now given an interview to The Sun to apologise for her comments, saying: “I want to stress how sorry I am about any offence and upset that was caused due to what I have said on social media.

“I understand that I was totally in the wrong and I should never have said such horrible things.

“All the comments were from my teenage years and I am deeply ashamed of them. I didn’t stop to think how they could be so hurtful at the time.”

One unearthed post, sent in September 2014 when Ellis was 15, read: “Oh fuck aye its 9/11!! RIP to everyone who died n fuck they smelly p**I terrorist bastards.”

Another in January 2015, was: “Real n****s #sbo.”

News of her ejection was announced on the show’s official Twitter account, with a post that read: “As a result of our investigation into offensive and unacceptable posts on social media, Ellis Hillon has been removed from the Big Brother House.”

Viewers later saw her exit play out on screen, where she was called to the Diary Room and presented with her tweets.

After confirming she had sent them, Big Brother confirmed she would be removed, to which she responded: “Fuck’s sake. No, I’m sorry. I don’t want to see anyone, I just want to go home.”

Ellis now holds the record for the shortest-ever ‘Big Brother’ stint, as she was removed just 19 hours after entering. As of yet, she is still to be replaced in the house.

‘Big Brother’ continues tonight at 10pm on Channel 5.
