It'll be online much sooner than we thought.

‘Black Mirror’ fans finally have a date to add to their diaries, as Netflix have confirmed that the new series will premiere globally on Friday 21 October 2016.

The online streaming service snapped up the rights to the third series earlier this year, and they’ve also now revealed new details concerning individual episodes.

While we already knew who would be directing and starring in some of the shows, a number of them now have titles for fans to pore over.

Dan Trachtenberg, ‘10 Cloverfield Lane’ director, will be taking the helm for an episode entitled ‘Playtest’, while the Bafta-nominated James Hawes is in charge of the ominous-sounding ‘Hated In The Nation’.

‘San Junipero’ will feature Gugu Mbatha-Raw (‘Doctor Who’) and Mackenzie Davis (‘The Martian’), and be directed by Owen Harris (‘Kill Your Friends).

Jerome Flynn (‘Game Of Thrones’) and Alex Lawther (‘Departure’) will be directed by James Watkins (‘The Woman In Black’) in ‘Shut Up And Dance’.

Finally, ‘Nosedive’ will star Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve (‘Star Trek Into Darkness’) and James Norton, and be directed by Joe Wright (‘Anna Karenina’), and Jakob Verbruggen (‘The Fall’) will direct Michael Kelly (‘House Of Cards’), Malachi Kirby (‘EastEnders’) and Madeline Brewer (‘Orange Is The New Black’) in ‘Men Against Fire’.

The show’s creator Charlie Brooker teased further details at an LA panel, telling the audience (via the Independent): “It’s fair to say that this season, some of the ideas are because we were aware of the greater progress of the world, that you’ve got to go two steps forward to stay ahead of reality at the moment.”

Laughing, he added: “There are things that are more demented than Pokemon Go within this season.”
