This article contains spoilers for the most recent episode of The Masked Singer UK.

The Masked Singer fans were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief when the unimaginable happened and one of the panel correctly guessed Blob’s identity.

Since Blob’s very first performance at the beginning of January, some viewers have been convinced that they recognised the masked character’s voice as that of Sir Lenny Henry

As the weeks have gone on, more and more clues have pointed to Blob being Sir Lenny, although the judges apparently hadn’t picked up on any of them, guessing everyone from Joe Wicks and Romesh Ranganathan to Greg Davies and Ainsley Harriott.

That is, until Saturday night, when Davina McCall finally guessed correctly that it was the comedian and Comic Relief co-founder underneath the four-eyed disguise.

Viewers were over the moon that someone on the panel had finally guessed correctly, as many had grown a little frustrated that some of the more obvious clues were going unchecked…

After being rumbled by Davina, Blob was eliminated from the contest in Saturday night’s show in the first double exit of the series.

Viking was also unmasked, with his identity being revealed as A-Ha frontman Morten Harket, much to the surprise of the panel.

We started with 12, but only five celebrities remain on the show ahead of this year’s Masked Singer semi-final, with two more set to be axed next weekend.

Among the stars fans suspect could be under the remaining characters are Sheridan Smith, Gabrielle and Aston Merrygold of JLS fame.

The Masked Singer continues on Saturday night at 7pm on ITV.
