Wow! What a weekend for London! I've never seen it so busy! It was like a sea of Union Jacks everywhere and all I could see were people in red, white and blue! it's nice to see the country come together for things like this and after the year London has had it's nice to see the community smiling and taking part in something that has a positive impact.

I watched a bit of it on TV but it is album release week for me... my second album Heartbreak on Hold is released this week so I am in full promo swing! So I have the whole thing on record so I can sit on my sofa with a cup of tea and watch the Queen later on!

I think it's good for our generation to be part of such a big event and it's something we will be able to tell our kids about... it's not often the Royal family are out in force. I think it's a real honour to be able to witness something like this, it really is once in a lifetime. Being a born and bred Londoner it makes me feel proud when we have such a big focus on the city and people are watching from around the world. Plus I enjoy seeing what Kate Middleton is wearing... that girl can dress you know! Everything she wears must sell out in minutes!

I've getting hyped about the Olympics now as well... it's going to be a madness trying to get around but I think it's going to be a good kind of chaos! Everyone will be in high spirits and wanting to celebrate... although maybe after people have been waiting an hour to get to work on the tube it may be a different story... lol!

I've got some basketball tickets which I'm looking forward to going to see... I'm going to cheer so loud no doubt I will lose my voice. I'd love to go and see something like the 100 metre final... I imagine the atmosphere in the stadium would just be immense!

All this sport is making me feel unfit thou... I need to get back into training! I am running the Virgin Triathlon in October to raise money for two charities; Breast Cancer UK and The Railway Children so I need to be hitting the treadmill!

I visited one of the new Virgin Active Health Clubs last week to take part in a dance masterclass with some of my fans... it was so much fun and my choreographer had shown the dance instructor there one of my routine from the Let It Go video, and it was so funny watching some of my fans and some media trying to learn them. Although there were a couple of really slick dancers there... and I have to say they almost showed me up - I wasn't able to keep up with them! ha! I had to sit it out a couple of times while I caught my breath!

My single Let It Go was out last week and in keeping with the 'Best of British' theme I actually filmed some of this on the Underground... on the Victoria line... you can read more about it in a previous blog. I wanted to film the video somewhere London centric that all Londoner's would recognise... so where better than the tube?
