Brexit Has Almost One-In-Three Chance Of Reversal, Says Tony Blair

Tony Blair has claimed there is a near-one in three chance that Brexit will be reversed.

The former prime minister said the Conservatives’ disastrous general election result, which left the party without a House of Commons majority, made it more difficult for the Government to get its Brexit plan approved by MPs.

Mr Blair has been a vocal opponent of Brexit and recently claimed the Government could address Leave voters’ concerns about immigration without leaving the European Union.

He told Bloomberg TV: “I still have some difficulty seeing how, after the general election which produced a hung parliament in the UK, this Government is going to get its form of Brexit through.

“I think there’s around about a 30% chance it’s changed, but a lot will depend on how the debate develops over this year.”

According to Bloomberg, he later clarified that he believes there is a 30% chance Britain’s exit from the EU will not happen.
