Britain's Got Talent Judges Give Ant And Dec Thumbs Up As They Go Undercover At Auditions

The judging panel fell for the prank hook, line and sinker.

As part of their show Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant and Dec have gone undercover to prank Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, but they finally got all four Britain’s Got Talent judges at once in Saturday night’s final round of auditions.

The presenting pair were reunited during this year’s BGT auditions, after Ant McPartlin famously took a year out from work commitments to focus on his recovery in 2018, and to mark the occasion, decided to get one over on the judges, as seen in the most recent episode of the ITV talent search.

To hide their identities, the pair appeared in full-body dog costumes, performing a string of in cognito dance routines as part of the supposed Disco Dogs, which also included Britain’s Got More Talent host Stephen Mulhern.

The judges, all known dog-lovers, were actually rather taken with the dancing trio, only for them to take off their masks at the end of the performance and reveal their true identities.

We did it, after all these years!” a celebratory Ant said.

With auditions now over for another year, we’re now into the BGT semi-finals which, as always, will air over five nights, beginning on Monday.

Among the semi-finalists are all five of this year’s Golden Buzzer acts, chosen by each of the judges, as well as Ant and Dec, to get a fast pass to the next stage of the competition.

These include several teen performers, including dancer Akshat Singh, boyband Chapter 13 and aspiring singer Giorgia Borg, the youngest Golden Buzzer winner in BGT history.
