The latest of these to come to London is Launch48.

This weekend Launch48 will be running a weekend long event that will bring together over 100 budding entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs will be part of an intensive start-up weekend at University College London from Friday 19th October. Over the course of the weekend the attendees will aim to build a completely new online or mobile business.

A range of experts including investment specialist Matthew Stafford from Pembridge Partnership Limited, a user experience guru Karl Sayor and serial entrepreneur Hugh Chappell.

Mark Hales, Launch48 programme director, said: "The weekend is designed to provide maximum business support for innovative ideas. During an intensive 48 hours attendees will collaborate and work to materialise their ideas into a functional business.

"Launch48 provides a unique opportunity to really be inspired by others around you, gain validation and support for your idea and draw upon the knowledge of established entrepreneurs, who will be on hand to provide advice and encouragement to groups across the three days. The programme also attracts accelerators and angel investors, who are always on the lookout for the next stellar business idea."

The Launch48 scheme run across Europe and Australia and claims to have had 3,000 attendees who have passed through its programme. Attendees gain many skills and learn about various stages of the startup process including idea validation, planning, financing, designing and marketing of a startup business.

The programme begins at 6:00pm on Friday 19th and finishes at 9:00pm on Sunday 21st October. Tickets are available for purchase at www.launch48.com.
