Celebrity Apprentice's Return Featured A Naked Balloon Dance And Claude In A Conga

Yep, it was business as usual for one of the BBC's most ridiculous celeb shows.

Celebrity Apprentice returned for the first time in a decade last night, with an eclectic mix of contestants that included Amanda Holden, Rylan Clark-Neal, EastEnders star Tameka Empson and comedian Omid Djalili.

The show – which aired in honour of Comic Relief – saw the celebrity contestants split into two teams based on gender, who were each tasked with putting on a cabaret show to raise money for the organisation.

And as Apprentice viewers have no doubt come to expect, the whole thing was pretty shambolic, but also totally enjoyable in its ridiculousness.

A stand-out moment was given by Omid, who took one for the team when he joined in the boys’ show’s opening number, taking part in this bizarre balloon-heavy strip-tease…

This, we should stress, came after he reckoned he could get his Mamma Mia! co-star Cher to put in an appearance.

Suffice to say, the balloon act caused quite a stir on social media…

The women fared slightly better when pulling in acts to perform at their cabaret show, with Amanda Holden calling up some old mates from the early years of Britain’s Got Talent…

...and Ayda Field relying on, well, you-know-who…

The performance of the night, though? We’re going to give it to Amanda and Ayda for this outside-of-the-box duet...

The outstanding moment of the episode didn’t come courtesy of any of the contestants though, but rather one of Lord Sugar’s aides, with Claude Littner surprising us with his rather vigorous approach to the conga…

The celebs aren’t off the hook just yet, though, with Lord Sugar set to give his verdict to the teams in next week’s episode… and we can’t wait to hear what he has to say about that balloon dancing.

In addition to the return of Celebrity Apprentice, a number of other stars have thrown themselves into fundraising for Comic Relief this year.

Strictly Come Dancing hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are set to take part in the most impressive dance-a-thon yet, busting a move for a total of 24 hours, while a host of celebs recently completed a trek up Kilimanjaro.
