‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Ryan Thomas has admitted he’s “tired” of being asked about Roxanne Pallett.
While taking part in the final series of ‘CBB’ on Channel 5, Ryan was accused by Roxanne of punching her “repeatedly” and “deliberately”, which she later conceded was a “mistake” and an “exaggeration”.
Upon leaving the house and being crowned the public’s champion, Ryan said he was keen to draw a line under the whole subject, though it would appear every journalist he’s encountered since has had another idea.
“I’ve been asked about it so many times and I just want to move on from it now,” he told the Daily Mail. “I’m so tired of the same question.
“All my family have said about it is how proud they are of me and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and they’re all really positive and there’s been no question about it.”
After overhearing chants of “get Roxanne out” from the crowds outside the house, Roxanne eventually chose to leave the show of her own accord, later announcing that she was leaving her daily radio show and an upcoming pantomime role in order to “take time” away from the spotlight to reflect on her actions in the house.
Ryan, meanwhile, has said he’s determined not to “dwell on the past”, insisting: “I appreciate Roxanne’s apology and I think it’s time that we move on… I think she’s suffered, or suffering, enough, and I don’t want to be a part of that.”
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Ofcom would be launching an investigation after receiving thousands of complaints over Roxanne’s behaviour in the house, as well as scenes showing Ryan in distress over the allegations against him.
