Jimmy Patton, Sibling Of The Chuckle Brothers, Dies Aged 87

Jimmy made a handful of appearances on his brothers' show, ChuckleVision.

Jimmy Patton, the older sibling of the Chuckle Brothers, has died at the age of 87.

The news was announced on the comedy duo’s Facebook page, with a post that read: “I just thought I’d let you know that the Chuckle Brothers older Brother Jimmy Patton has sadly passed away.

“Jimmy was a big part of ChuckleVision and the stage shows where he played the character No Slacking. RIP Jim Lad. And No Slacking.”

Jimmy lived most of his life away from the spotlight, but starred in 47 episodes of ChuckleVision between 1990 and 2009.

In 2017, he hit headlines for marrying a woman 59 years his junior, after meeting her on Facebook.

Jimmy and Amy married in Southport and speaking at the time, he said: “Amy had been a fan of ChuckleVision all of her life and commented on something I posted. It just went from there.”

Jimmy, whose first wife Valerie had died nearly seven years prior, added: “I never thought I would find this kind of love again.”

His death comes 11 months after that of his brother, Barry, who secretly battled bone cancer.
