Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain shared a passionate and short-lived marriage that, decades later, still piques the curiosity of '90s grunge fans everywhere. In a Wednesday conversation with HuffPost Live, Linda Carroll, Love's mother and a couples therapist, revealed just how her daughter's relationship with the Nirvana frontman flourished.
"I saw them together, and I'll tell you something about their relationship that was amazing to me: They talked all the time," Carroll recalled in an appearance to discuss relationship patterns and her book Love Cycles. "They had an ongoing conversation. They spoke each other's languages."
Love and Cobain began their romantic relationship in 1990 and married in 1992. It came to an abrupt end in 1994, when Cobain died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Carroll, a mother of five, remembers just how compatible her musician daughter was with Cobain.
"Listening to them talk -- I didn't know the people they were talking about, they were talking about musicians, but they talked so fast, and it was like they were just in each other's pockets," she recounted. "They understood everything without effort."
