Love Island finalist Curtis Pritchard has said he would be open to a relationship with a man in the future.
The professional ballroom dancer left the villa last week, and is currently pursuing a relationship with fellow Islander Maura Higgins, who he was partnered for his last few weeks on the show.
However, speaking shortly after his exit, Curtis claimed he would not rule out a same-sex romance if he and Maura were to go their separate ways.
He told The Sun that while he’s “been with women” and is “with a woman now”, he doesn’t believe in labels when it comes to sexuality.
“You can never put a label on anything. It’s a cliche to say, but love is blind,” he told the tabloid. “I can never ever say what will happen in the future. I wouldn’t rule anything out.”
Curtis later told ITV’s Lorraine: “I’m happy with Maura. I’m happy with how things are going with Maura and I can see a future with Maura. We’ve both said the same thing sort of. That’s that really. Maura’s head is clear and my head is clear on where we’re going.
“But I think the future is an unwritten path sometimes and you don’t know. Like last year, would I have ever said I’d have been on Love Island? No, never.”
Since leaving Love Island a week ago, both Curtis and Maura have already been very busy, with the latter landing a new presenting gig on This Morning.
She will host her own agony aunt segment, as well as an upcoming recurring feature called Maura Than Meets The Eye.
It’s also been announced that Curtis will have a role in the new British version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, serving as a dance advisor alongside his brother, Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard, although this was filmed before he entered the Love Island villa.
