The only thing worth catching up on 🐾

Thursday marked a momentous moment in the British calendar – no, not because Brexit was delayed again, or because everyone was staring at that black hole photo. Oh no, 11 April marked National Pet Day – and the animal content was coming in thick and fast.

1. Mark Ruffalo Is A CAT Person

Ruffalo cemented his status as favourite Avenger by sharing the cutest photo of him snuggling his cat. Have you ever seen a more content face? We think not.

2. Cat Malfunction

Another cat seemingly forgot how to cat on National Pet Day and to be honest, I’ve never related to something so much in my life.

Derp.

3. It Wasn’t Me

You can all go home, this is the best video on the internet right now. A very adorable pooch stars in an alt rendition of Shaggy’s ‘It Wasn’t Me’ and yes el doggo is caught sitting on the counter, lying on the sofa and even in the shower. Guaranteed you’ll want to watch it twice. Maybe three times.

4. Doggy Icebreaker.

One Border Collie managed to melt the hearts of train passengers in Scotland by taking its ball up to strangers and telling them (with no words necessary) to roll it down the aisle. If only we had such proficient social skills.

5. Baby Lemur Bonanza

Saving the best news until last, six rare baby lemurs have been born at Chester Zoo. The new arrivals include two sets of endangered ring-tailed lemur twins and the zoo’s first ever baby black lemur – whew. The babies were all less than 15 centimetres tall at birth and each no heavier than a tennis ball.

The End.

Just kidding, here’s a bonus video for your troubles.
