He was responsible for one of this year's most controversial dumpings, but Danny says there's nothing he would change.

Former Love Island star Danny Williams has admitted he has “absolutely no regrets” about how things played out for him in the villa.

Danny and Jourdan Riane became the latest couple to be shown the door in Monday night’s show, after receiving the fewest votes to save them from exiting the Love Island villa.

And despite being one of the most divisive of this year’s Love Island contestants (largely thanks to his choice to couple up with Arabella Chi, leading to Yewande Biala’s exit), Danny has said he wouldn’t do anything differently.

“I have absolutely no regrets,” he said shortly after the latest dumping. “I made mistakes for sure but I’m grateful for all the ups and downs because it led me to where I am today and I am a happy man.”

He added: “Anything I wanted to say, I feel like I said it in the moment. I apologised for things that I did wrong.

Danny also said he was keen to pursue his romance with Jourdan away from the villa, saying: “I’m excited to date her and travel, meet families and do all the normal stuff that we haven’t done yet.

“I feel like I know so much about her and her character. I know her personality on a deep level but she doesn’t know my parents’ names or the simple things! I’m excited to do the normal things.”

Jourdan agreed, saying: “I came in looking for a best friend and we’ve already said that we have a really strong friendship, if not best friendship.

“I feel like what’s next is to take that to a further romantic level. And to get to know each other in a normal world.”

The most recent instalment of Love Island ended on a cliffhanger, with the contestants being told they’ll have to choose whether to eliminate Curtis and Amy or Lucie and George.

However, given that Amy has since chosen to leave the villa of her own accord, fans think they already know how this one is going to play out…

Love Island airs Sunday through Friday nights on ITV2 at 9pm.
