Danny was born in Canning Town in the east end of London, and launched an acting career at the age of 16.

He became known for playing hard men after starring in string of violent films including ‘Football Factory’, ‘Adulthood’ and ‘Mean Machine’.

He then landed the role of Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in ‘EastEnders’ in 2013.

Danny is not the first actor revealed to have a Royal connection, as it was previously uncovered that Johnny Depp is the Queen’s 20cousin.

The new series of ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ will see Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Sir Ian McKellen and Amanda Holden delve into their family history.
