Donald Trump Thinks The Election He Won Was Rigged

Just stop.

Another day, another incomprehensibly daft string of tweets from the soon-to-be most powerful man in the world.

Donald “Justpresssend” Trump is now claiming the election he just won was rigged, somehow managing to simultaneously tick the boxes of “sore winner”, “hard-done-by victim” and “conspiracy theorist”.

In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 27, 2016

Trump is saying the election he won was rigged. He won and he’s still complaining.

In fact he’s actually making a solid argument for #AuditThe Vote, a recount called by the Green Party which Trump earlier in the day condemned.

The Green Party scam to fill up their coffers by asking for impossible recounts is now being joined by the badly defeated & demoralized Dems

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 27, 2016

His transition team also rubbished the idea, saying in a statement on Saturday: “This is a scam by the Green Party for an election that has already been conceded and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused.”

Imagine Obama, not Trump, tweeting this. You'd be surprised & horrified. If the bar was any lower it would be in the earth's core. https://t.co/rDcAs6ctHX

And what about the source?

Infowars. The same “news” source that believes the US Government has a “weather weapon” used to steer tornadoes and that the massacre of 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook was a false-flag operation planned by Obama in order to further his gun control agenda.

@OH_Conservative i'm of the opinion that when you make claims as president you should be prepared to back it up with facts, not InfoWars.

— Jim Heath (@JimHeathTV) November 28, 2016

And where did Infowars get their information from?

This tweet.

We have verified more than three million votes cast by non-citizens.

We are joining .@TrueTheVote to initiate legal action. #unrigged

— Gregg Phillips (@JumpVote) November 13, 2016

And that’s it.

Naturally, there is only one conclusion to draw from Trump’s tweet.

Whether this is a mistake, a deliberate lie or merely a wild but sincerely held allegation it is not a fact. It is not true. https://t.co/OMAdEbQZuO

Undeterred the President-Elect continued to tweet about the issue.

It would have been much easier for me to win the so-called popular vote than the Electoral College in that I would only campaign in 3 or 4--

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 27, 2016

states instead of the 15 states that I visited. I would have won even more easily and convincingly (but smaller states are forgotten)!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 27, 2016

Serious voter fraud in Virginia, New Hampshire and California - so why isn't the media reporting on this? Serious bias - big problem!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 28, 2016

At this point we hand over to the general public for some critical analysis.

@realDonaldTrump You lie, you little fuck, you lie.

— Jeff Jarvis (@jeffjarvis) November 28, 2016

Supporters of @realDonaldTrump: plz recognize these are ravings of paranoid unstable man. We need to be concerned. Don't believe delusions.

— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) November 28, 2016

@realDonaldTrump My God man. You're the president-elect of the United States. You can't just make stuff up anymore. Stunning!

— Jim Heath (@JimHeathTV) November 28, 2016

@realDonaldTrump My 3-year-old throws fewer strops than you.

— Letters of Note (@LettersOfNote) November 27, 2016

Trump does obviously have his supporters, some of whom tried to back him up, generally with arguments along the lines of this...

@realDonaldTrump What is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

— patrick dickson (@knowitall143) November 27, 2016

@knowitall143 @realDonaldTrump We have evidence. You claim that we don't because you choose to listen to the Times, etc. Try some real news.

— Conservative Tab (@ConservativeTab) November 27, 2016

You are wrong. There is no evidence to back up the claim. None at all. Prove me wrong. @ConservativeTab @knowitall143 @realDonaldTrump

— Joseph Evers (@FuxNet) November 27, 2016

@FuxNet @knowitall143 @realDonaldTrump Prove me wrong.

— Conservative Tab (@ConservativeTab) November 27, 2016

Okay. This is the source of the entire 3 mil illegal vote claim: https://t.co/FR3r9Ft3OV @ConservativeTab @knowitall143 @realDonaldTrump

— Joseph Evers (@FuxNet) November 27, 2016

This person has provided ZERO evidence to back it up. All "news" reports based off that. @ConservativeTab @knowitall143 @realDonaldTrump

— Joseph Evers (@FuxNet) November 27, 2016

@FuxNet @knowitall143 @TrueTheVote I'm not sure what you're talking about. Regardless, I expected this even if it's never proven.

— Conservative Tab (@ConservativeTab) November 27, 2016

Solid.

The other big news of the weekend was the passing of former-Cuban leader, Fidel Castro which the future President sensitively handled like this...

Fidel Castro is dead!
