‘Emmerdale’ bosses have revealed details of Debbie Dingle’s return, which will take place in early 2017.
Charley Webb’s character left the village a year ago, after finding out her boyfriend Ross Barton shot Robert Sugden, but she’s now set to come back, and it’s fair to say a lot has happened in her absence.
A statement from ITV explains: “Debbie Dingle will make an explosive return to the village early next year, leaving chaos in her wake.
“Having spent the last year in France, she is now on the run – but who is Debbie running from? And how long will it be before Cain and Charity come to her rescue?”
Since Debbie’s departure, Ross has been through a lot, and his family are still mourning the loss of James Barton.
Andy Sugden, the father of her children, is also now on the run, while the Dingles have had a lot to deal with, including Belle’s continuing mental health problems.
