A porn star who filmed himself having a threesome with two other men on a tube train in front of passengers has been fined £1,000.

George Mason, 35, Nicholas Mullan, 24 and a third man who has not been identified, on a Northern Line train between Leicester Square and Waterloo stations in July 2017.

The two named men admitted to the charges of outraging public decency at an earlier hearing.

Magistrates handed Mason the fine as well as an 18-month community order and a requirement to pay court costs on Friday after they were shown footage of the incident.

Mullan escaped a fine but was told to pay £170 costs and carry out a 12-month community order.

Magistrate Lucinda Lubbock said: “This was a very unpleasant and serious offence on the public underground system.

“The way it took place back in July, the seriousness of the offence, is exacerbated by the fact that it went on social media.”

Mason was fined for his “more serious” role in the incident, Lubbock told him: “The uploading, the tagline and so on are very much part of your offence specifically.”

Prosecutor Robert Simpson said the police were made aware of the incident by another gay man who saw the footage on Twitter in February 2018 and thought it “crossed the line”.

The journey between the two tube stops is around five minutes long, but in that time Simpson said the two men engaged in “full anal and oral sex and masturbation, and this was in the presence of the travelling public.”

The footage was posted to the Twitter account of the porn website “Hung Young Brit”.

Howard Cohen, who was defending the pair said Mason was “required to upload a snippet of the material on a Twitter account.”

Cohen said the post had the caption: “Full-on live sex in front of the general public on Tube train,” that was described as “100% genuine footage”.

Investigators traced Mullan after another clip linked of the incident to an escort website in Northern Ireland, where he posted his mobile number under the name Toby.

Cohen said the video was recorded 18 months earlier as they had the idea while travelling back to Mason’s flat.

He added the pair had been in a relationship previously, but weren’t together at the time of the incident.

Cohen pointed out both men had been subject to a “virulent and quite disgusting campaign of hate” on social media since details of the incident emerged.

Lubbock added: “We feel that this is a lesson to both of you. As your defence lawyer said, you have been humiliated in the court of social media.”
