Are we capturing the moment to look back only to realise that we viewed that moment through a screen even though we were sat in the middle. Are we missing those moments because we're in a bid to show the world what we're doing, to share, to connect... Is that a bad thing?

We're in two worlds. We're in an age where virtual and reality collide. Can it be harmonious? Can we view both worlds fully? Can those worlds combine?

Are we missing out on the real world because we're concentrating too hard on capturing the moment? Are we disconnecting ourselves in our need to connect?

Are we capturing the moment to look back only to realise that we viewed that moment through a screen even though we were sat in the middle. Are we missing those moments because we're in a bid to show the world what we're doing, to share, to connect... Is that a bad thing?

Is it bad that we are sharing with the world more and more and letting a virtual reality sweep us along and become the norm? Are we really still enjoying the moment?

Take your pictures, let the world know you were there, right in the moment. Smile for the camera, tweet your friends, upload your status, tag the person standing right next to you, Snapchat, text, FaceTime, Instagram, YouTube....send it all.

But don't forget to bounce. Don't forget to listen. Don't forget to dance like the world is not watching. Don't forget to look around, absorb. Don't forget to live in that moment too.

I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt and posted a photo.

Get off your phone.

Should we really?

I painted a bin for Glastonbury Festival, as photographed and posted with my phone. It's to serve me along with 175,000 other festival goers attending this week as reminder.

Whether you choose to be on you're phone or not, it doesn't matter. Just so long as you're happy that you've captured your moments in full reality, virtually and if you fancy, shared your moments with world.
