‘Great British Bake Off’ Fans Unconvinced By This Week's Result

WARNING! Spoilers ahead.

The result of the latest ‘Great British Bake Off’ has caused upset among certain viewers, after Manon was sent home over Rahul.

Despite becoming a fan favourite over the last few weeks, many fans of the Channel 4 show believed Rahul deserved to go, after a poor performance on all three challenges on Tuesday night.

Rahul seriously struggled with the show’s first-ever Danish week, and had even convinced himself he would be going home.

He failed to make his rye bread edible in the first challenge, burned his Æbleskiver - little pancake balls stuffed with cinnamon and apple - and over-baked his signature by 10 minutes.

Manon had come in for criticism too, with Paul Hollywood pulling her up on making French bakes instead of what had been asked for.

Manon’s rye bread turned into more of a French loaf, and her showstopper was more pain au chocolat than Danish pastry.

But the fact Rahul had tripped up a lot harder than Manon left fans questioning the judges’ decision to send her home over her competitor...

However, others with had a more level-headed view on the outcome...

Even though the fans were divided by the outcome of the episode, everyone loved the contestants wearing Hawaiian shirts in tribute to the recently eliminated Jon.

‘The Great British Bake Off’ continues next Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4.
