Ikea Is Selling Blinds You Can Cut To Any Size For £3

We need these in our lives.

If you’re in rented housing – or have just spent your last penny on a bank-busting deposit to buy your first home – forking out on fitted blinds is probably bottom of your list of priorities.

But Ikea is selling blinds that can be cut to any size and be stuck to your window frame without drilling. The best part? These beauties cost just £3.

The blinds attach to window frames with velcro strips that are attached to a double-sided tape – ideal if you’ve got a landlord who’s anti-DIY.

The blinds have been around for a while, but have become the talk of the town after customers have been sharing their reviews on Facebook.

Reviews on Ikea’s own website suggest the blinds aren’t perfect, but for £3, nobody seems to mind too much.

“They do the job of covering the window and providing a nice diffused light, they look nice but I would have preferred the material to be stronger,” one person said.

Another added: “They let in plenty of daylight, which means I can actually leave them down all the time if I want to and yet they provide complete privacy at night when the lights are on.

“They also look very stylish - I’ve received compliments on them from friends and neighbours, who did not believe me when I told them how little they cost. Having had them up for over a month so far, I’m in no particular hurry to replace them with expensive shutter blinds at the moment. Very well done Ikea.”

If you’re looking for a little more coverage, Ikea also sells pleated “block-out” blinds in green for £5.10 that are designed to block our more light than the white style.

Alternatively you can buy black out blinds in white and black that can be cut from the company Blinds In A Box from £13.50.
