After a medley of This Land Is Your Land and America The Beautiful, J-Lo gave a nod to one of her own hits for good measure.

Jennifer Lopez was among the celebrity guest performers during Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday afternoon, performing a medley of This Land Is Your Land and America The Beautiful.

However, it was the inclusion of a rather different song altogether that really caught people’s attention online.

We’ve got three words. Let’s. Get. Loud.

Yes, towards the end of J-Lo’s performance – which ended with a spoken section of the US pledge of allegiance in Spanish – she gave a quick blast of her 2000 hit Let’s Get Loud.

And the moment certainly raised a smile among those watching along on social media:

Our favourite reaction of them all has to be this one, though:

The chart-topping singer was previously critical of Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump during his presidency.

When she and Shakira were announced as the headlining performers at last year’s Super Bowl, she said: “I think it’s super important for two Latina women to be headlining the Super Bowl, especially right now in Trump’s America.”

In a behind-the-scenes clip posted after her Super Bowl performance, she appeared to allude to Trump when she told her team: “All I want my girls, the little girls on stage with me and all over the world to know is how to use their voices and be proud of everything they are.

“Other people can try to build walls, keep us out or put us in cages. We are proud to recognise that all of us together are what makes this beautiful country truly great.”

J-Lo was one of several guest performers during Biden’s swearing-in ceremony, with Lady Gaga delivering a show-stopping rendition of the US national anthem, and country singer Garth Brooks singing Amazing Grace towards the end.

After the ceremony, a television special celebrating Biden’s inauguration will air in the US, featuring performances from stars including John Legend, Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Justin Timberlake.
