Barking Stabbing: Man Fighting For His Life After Knife Attack In East London

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A man has been left fighting for his life after a knife attack in east London on Sunday.

Scotland Yard said police were called at 4.24pm to Sandringham Road, Barking, to reports of a stabbing.

The victim, a man in his mid-twenties, is in a critical condition in an east London hospital.

London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended the incident, and a crime scene is in place.

Police said two males have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

An earlier tweet from Barking and Dagenham police said that multiple people had been stabbed.

The tweet said: “Police are on scene with @Ldn_Ambulance @LDNairamb at Sandringham Road, Barking at the scene of a serious assault whereby multiple persons have been stabbed. One of the males is currently critical with life threatening injuries. A large scene is in place. Please avoid the area.”
