We may not be allowed to leave our houses, but Lady Gaga is about to take us on a journey – to Chromatica.
The US singer has announced the new release date for her latest album, which was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic last month.
With the world in need of some serious cheering up, Gaga has seemingly had a rethink about unveiling her new music to the world, with Chromatica now set to be released on 29 May.
Announcing the news on Instagram, she wrote: “The journey continues. You can officially join me on #Chromatica on May 29.”
The album – Gaga’s sixth – was originally set to arrive on 10 April, before the health crisis caused havoc in the entertainment industry.
She said at the time: “This is such a hectic and scary time for all of us, and while I believe art is one of the strongest things we have to provide joy and healing to each other during times like this, it just doesn’t feel right to me to release this album with all that is going on during this global pandemic.
“Instead I prefer that we spend this time focusing on finding solutions.”
Following up 2016′s Joanne, Chromatica has already spawned lead single Stupid Love, which was released in March.
The album will also feature guest spots from Sir Elton John and Ariana Grande, as well as an appearance from K-pop girl group Blackpink.
Last month, the Gaga helped raise $127m (£102m) for coronavirus relief when she helped organise the One World: Together At Home event.
The live-streamed virtual concert, a collaboration with Global Citizen, saw musicians from around the world performing from inside their homes.
The money raised will support the Covid-19 Response Fund, powered by the UN Foundation, which will globally fund essential PPE, supplies and testing kits.
